Eat inventive tacos, support the community.
That’s the idea behind Taco Tuesday Team-Up, a charitable program in which Houston-based Tex-Mex chain Tacos A Go Go owner Maribel Gomez co-creates limited-edition tacos with local chefs for charity. Proceeds from the sale of the monthly specialty taco benefit Houston nonprofit I’ll Have What She’s Having, an organization that supports women’s health and hospitality industry mentorship.

Now in its second month, the September team-up features Tex-Mex chain Tacos A Go Go and Montrose restaurant Riel chef-owner Ryan Lachaine’s Gulf Coast Fried Shrimp Taco. The designer dish is made with buttermilk- and hot sauce-slathered fried shrimps and topped with “Comeback Slaw.” It will be available every Tuesday in September at Tacos A Go Go locations.
Taco Tuesday Team-Up launched in August with Sticky’s Chicken. October’s special will be announced later this month.
“We got great feedback last month through our partnership with Sticky’s," Tacos A Go Go owner Sharon Haynes said. "We are excited to highlight another local restaurant this month with Ryan Lachaine and Riel, and to continue supporting I'll Have What She's Having and their work in the community."
